The Mt Sanitas loop is a fairly popular 5k trail in Boulder. It climbs ~1200ft (360m) and has everything from steep ascents to mellow flats. There’s even a small patch of scrambling required which is often made more interesting when it snows. Given it’s short length and close proximity to our home, Sophia and I decided that in 2019 we’d summit the “peak” once a week to catch the sunrise. Here’s a few of my favorite photos from the past few months.
Pro Tip: Santo is the best place in Boulder for post-hike breakfast. Monday-Friday from seven to eleven they sell to-go five dollar breakfast burritos. Truth be told I think I like the post-hike burritos more than the sunrise!
