Soph and I went for something a bit different this Halloween. We wanted to get one jaunt in at altitude before our attempt on Toubkal in a couple weeks. Soph also wanted to wear costumes. Alas, Spooky Sherman.
The crew on the summit of Sherman. Boo!
We took the Southwest Ridge route and were surprised that the road was open all the way to the 12k ft trailhead this late in the season. Seems the temperature and holiday scared folks away however given we started at a leisurely 7:30am and were likely the first ones on the summit that day. To be fair, it was fairly cold and windy. Some might say it was….bone chilling.
